Thanks for a great first day everyone! This truly was a huge team effort. Thanks to my employees (on and off the clock), my family, and my very understanding and helpful girlfriend, we were able to open for business today at Rise Café!

A bit about the concept, this will be a satellite location for Prevail. At full launch, we will have all the same drinks as we have at the bakery including our Lotus energy drinks, Cold Brew coffee drinks, our proprietary espresso alternative(Prevesso), Matcha, Houjicha, and more. We'll also have a selection of pastries from the bakery as well and some baked goods that we don't have at the bakery, like tarts, eclairs, and custards. We will also have lunch items like quiche and premade sandwiches that will have the option to be pressed on the panini grill.

We're going for a retro video game vibe. 8-bit graphics and chiptune. I think the simplicity echoes the simplicity of our products. And after all, the place is inside a Vintage Marketplace!

For now we'll be open tomorrow (9/6) and planning to open again next weekend. I don't know yet what this means for our presence at the Columbia Farmers market, but having 2 physical locations about a mile from the market space makes me want to focus on those spots instead. Maybe we'll change what we offer at the market. I have some decisions to make.

And I guess this means now I have to have another instagram account 😵‍💫.

Hey folks,

Tomorrow 9/5 we will not be at @columbiafarmersfreshmarket.

Instead, we will be doing a soft launch of our satellite location, Rise Café! It is located on the 3rd floor of Bleu 32 Vintage Marketplace @bleu32. This weekend is their 10 year anniversary too! It should be a great time.

To start, we'll just have what we normally have at the market, with as much of our drinks menu as we can execute. Cold brew coffee drinks, teas, Lotus energy drinks, etc. We'll also have pastries and bread.

Come by and check it out! We'll be open the same hours as Bleu 32 Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday 10am to 5pm
Sunday Noon to 4pm

It's been a ton of work and there's still more to do. I also need to hire some barista/retail people, cooks, and bakers. Full time or part time.

Oh and we'll be open at the bakery normal hours!
8am to 4pm.

We'll be at the market 8am to noon tomorrow and open at the shop 8am to 4pm.

No pot pies tomorrow, we'll have beef hand pies instead. They are killer.
